2025 Racing Season |
This Top5 Fantasy game is based on the old ESPN Stock Car Challenge game. However, there is no 100 point cap limit on your 5 drivers you pick nor is there any segments involved. This game runs for the whole point races in 2025 for the three (3) series. Depending on how many are interested in for each series, there will be one for each series. Scoring is based on the following: Pole Sitter picks: If the driver you pick is the pole sitter for the race, you will get 50 bonus points. If the driver you pick qualifies 2nd, 25 bonus points If the driver you pick qualifies 3rd, 10 bonus points If the driver you pick qualifies 4th, 5 bonus points If the driver you pick qualifies 5th, 1 bonus point. Note: If Qualifying is canceled for the scheduled event, then there will be no bonus points for the Pole Sitter picks. **NOTE: Daytona 500 (Sprint Cup) - Due to the way qualifying is done, there is no pole sitter pick for this race For the top 5 picks for the race itself: You earn points based on the points that NASCAR awards the driver with, with the exception of the 5 bonus points for leading the most laps. Rather than the 5 bonus points for being the one that led the most laps, you will get one (1) point for each lap that the lap leader led for that race. There are additional bonus points and are outlined below" If the driver you pick for a position for the first 5 positions finishes in that position, bonus points are awarded for that pick. 1st place pick - 100 points 2nd place pick - 50 points 3rd place pick - 25 points 4th place pick - 10 points 5th place pick - 5 points Here is an example of a scoring of a race: Player A picked Pole Sitter as 12. Player A picked Top 5 as (1st) - 43, (2nd) - 17, (3rd) - 48, (4th) - 55, (5th) - 8 The race ended up with the following results: 1st Place - 48* 3rd Place - 17 4th Place - 55* 6th Place - 8** 38th Place - 43 * - Led a lap ** - Led the most laps with 55 laps Points are calculated as: 43 = 1 point (38th place) 17 = 34 points (3rd place) 48 = 45 points (1st place + 5 bonus points (lap leader)) 55 = 48 points (4th place + 5 bonus points (lap leader)) + 10 points (4th place pick) 8 = 91 points (6th place + 5 bonus points (lap leader) + 55 points (55 laps led [Most laps led]) 12 qualified in the 3th position = 10 points Total score : 219 Deadlines for picks: The deadline for the Pole Sitter pick is when first car goes on the track to qualify for the series that you are playing in. The deadline for the race itself is when the initial green flag falls to start the race. You may submit any many times as you want. The picks last received before the deadline will be the one used for the game for that race. This allows you to change your picks, if so desired, before the deadline. There is sometimes that there might be a driver change from the roster known to me. Rollover policy: There is a rollover policy for both the pole sitter and the Top 5 for the race. Please keep in mind, that a driver you pick one week might not be in the race the next week. If no picks are received for a week's race, then the previous race picks will be used. When rollovers are done, an email will be generated to let you know that your picks were rolled over. Submitting picks: There will be forms that I will be making available for team players to use to select your picks. E-Mail addresses: I will be sending out reminders of the approaching deadlines and the results for the races. The e-mail addresses you submit will be used solely for the purpose of these informational messages that I might send out. The form is set up with your name (play name) that you want to use for the game. Your e-mail address will not be visible in the form. Only the team players that are in the game will know the link for the form to use. A confirmation e-mail will be sent back to you showing the picks you chosen. Link for the form to use is at: Choose your Top 5 and pole sitter!
